The Conservative Society for Action participated in a "March" on the New York State Capital on June 16, 2009. CSA Founder Stephen Flanagan commented on "effective political action" and how "acting locally" would have a national impact:

The Congressman then tried to answer a few simple questions like "how are you going to vote" on cap and trade or nationalized health care. His constituents were not buying much of what he had to say:
